1 to 101 is a community project that rewards the people who contribute to it by issuing them with shares in the company.
People of all nationalities are welcome to join, with the only requirement being that you have a good standard of written English.
Shares / Payments —————————————————————————————————-
You receive one share for each 1 to 101 page that you contribute and for each you’ll be given a unique share certificate and reference number.
One share is equal to the final selling price of the website divided by the total number of shares (minus 20% management costs).
As an example, if 1 to 101 has 1000 pages and is sold for $250'000, you receive $200 for each page that you contributed.
There's no limit on the number of shares that you can own and there's no limit on the amount of money that you can earn.
The current value of a share is stated in the green boxes at the top right corner of every page of this website; this is calculated by dividing the highest bid for 1 to 101 to date by the current number of pages on the website.
You receive payment for your share when 1 to 101 is sold, with the amount you receive being the share value at the time of the sale of 1 to 101, not the share value when you submitted your page.
Shareholders vote whether to accept or reject each bid made for 1 to 101; they're notified of the bid amount by email and must reply with their decision within 5 business days.
They're told the results of the voting process after votes have been processed and counted and if 75% or more of shareholders vote to accept a bid then 1 to 101 will be sold.
On the acceptance of a bid for 1 to 101, payments for shares will be made via PayPal.
Writing ———————————————————————————————————————–
You can suggest any topic to write a 1 to 101 about, or, if you want ideas, we can provide you with a list of topics to choose from.
The more people a topic is of interest to, the better it is as a 1 to 101, with commonly searched for words making the best topics.
A 1 to 101 should cover all of the key aspects of a topic and provide neutral, unbiased information and advice.
Pages should be submitted on the ‘Microsoft Word’ template that we provide you with and should be written in a logical order; sub-topics / sentences that are relevant to each other following on from each other.
They should be approximately 2000-3000 words in length and be organised into 4 - 6 sub-topics.
You don't have to format (i.e. bold, colouring etc.) your page and we will insert all of the links.
Editing / Review ——————————————————————————————————-
Allow us to review your page at the 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% completion stage; we insist on this to ensure that you’re staying on topic and writing in a style consistent with existing 1 to 101s.
All completed 1 to 101s are subject to review by our editorial team before being accepted and it's your responsibility to provide us with a 1 to 101 that is 99% ready to be published.
Any changes that our editorial team feel need to be made will be highlighted on the submitted document and returned to you.
When your 1 to 101 is at a publishable level, we will sign it off and issue you with a share certificate and reference number.
We reserve the right to reject any 1 to 101s that we feel are unsuitable or of an unacceptable quality.
